Glyphic Los Angeles is a new kind of creative meetup focused on bringing all types of creatives together.
For the past few years, designers and artists noticed a few voids within the Los Angeles creative space. The first is an absence of group creative
experiences that aren’t the standard: show up, sit down, listen to a speaker and go home. There is a place for these types of meetups, but our desire is to create something different: A place where creatives can let their guard down, have a social drink, and interact with industry professionals. It’s built to be a “come get what you’re looking for” type of experience, instead of catering to format.
The second (that LA is certainly guilty of) is a lack of connection between individuals. Glyphic LA exists to be a positive light in a saturated space. Attendees from the top down should leave energized to tackle their day-to-day and ready to reach out to their connections for help. GLA aims to be an uplifting atmosphere full of laughter and I could not be happier with what the team and I have accomplished in this short amount of time!
Glyphic is co-founded by yours truly along with
seasoned brand builder, Nick Longo, and rising talent Emmanuel Ruiz.
A Unique Twist on Each Event
Each event features unique happenings such as live silkscreening, short form panel discussions, and more. For our second meetup, we did a “man on the street” styled video, hosted by Katlyn Stadtlander, asking local creatives what breakthroughs they recently had in hopes to provide insight to other artists.
